Protean White

This is my pride and joy. Just painted it last week in one very long 5 hour session. It's 30"x30"x2" acrylic on polyester canvas (it's very smooth). The only pigment used is a black that I made up from mixing red, yellow and blue. BTW I like childrens drawings. All comments welcome!


This is a photo detail taken of the upper middle of the painting.

Wow, what a lovely form! Is there a gradation on the canvas or is that a shadow? It's cool how you can see hints of the colors used in the strokes.

Thanks Bre. The background is a pure brilliant white, so what you are referring to must be a gradation.

Reminds me of the stuff biologists look at through a microscope between glass plates. Very organic and fluid.
