The towels were pretty much just to soak up and dam the waters perimeters. The contractor sucked up 30 gallons of water with his equipment. He left 7 big fans and 2 huge dehumidifiers and says they'll probably take 2-3 days to dry up all the remaining water. Then the fun begins - walls opened up, more drying, anti-mold sprayed on, more drying, wall repair, painting, new carpet pad, carpet re-installed (that's if it is good enough to keep). Ahh, the fun just won't end.

Actually there were twice this many towels. But the ropes wouldn't hold them all.

WOW! All from your washing machine line? That's crazy. I'd say "hang in there" but maybe that's too punny. :)
